Dear Class of1975 Survivor,

Lester Strouse has known Apple’s Steve Wozniak from way back when and has convinced Mr. Wozniak to support a music fest for our 35th Reunion, June 17-20, 2010. He has been able to gather an impressive list of musicians who will fly in, drive down to Northfield, and play at the 75ers FEST starting at noon on Saturday, the 19th, going past midnight.  As we go to press on this letter, the groups that have already signed to perform are:

  • Sha Na Na
  • Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks
  • Joni  Mitchell
  • Leo Kottke
  • Donovan
  • The Australian Pink Floyd

For the 75ers FEST, trampolines will brought into the Burton courtyard so we can all bounce for peace, or not…

If you believe this malarkey, you’re definitely eligible to attend our reunion, June 17-20, 2010. There, you can spin your own life’s story among your 1975 friends. No one is going to fact-check anything you say from Thursday through Sunday, June 17 – 20, 2010.

During that time, you’re going to want to reference all the lies, fabrications, and outlandish stories posted here on this website as a starting point for any “catch-up”conversations. Answer trivia quizzes like how many of our classmates posed in the nude for their senior pictures?  More than you would think… no, more than even that.

If you want to re-capture that “go-naked” spirit without disrobing, we know of only one place: where it all began, on the Carleton campus from June 17, a Thursday, all the way through June 20, a Sunday.  You’ll be surprised how the dorms have gotten smaller, how easy it is to get lost on today’s campus without really trying, how the food has finally been upgraded to the “spoiled royalty” category, and how easy it is to have a great time on campus again.
